(1) Apparently, if you'd like a Nexus One, but the $530 is slightly out of reach for you, just sign up for the contract with T-Mobile and pay the $180 for the phone. Then, before activating the phone, call and terminate your service with T-Mobile, then activate the phone with whatever company you prefer. The termination through T-Mobile will cost you $200; however, that's still approximately $150 cheaper than paying full price for the phone. Besides, if you really want to be a dick about it, early termination fees are illegal... they just also happen to be really difficult to fight. Worth a shot if you're already willing to go through that hassle.
(2) Apparently, if you fill out a "Make a Return" form to return your Nexus One, Google thinks that an appropriate advertisement for the following page is one asking if you're interested in buying a Nexus One.
